American Ski-Bike Association Privacy Policy

Introduction
The American Ski-Bike Association (ASA) is committed to providing information to maximize participation in Ski-Biking, while protecting member privacy. ASA provides this notice explaining its policies for data collected through the Internet and other means.

About ASA
The (ASA) is a national association for the furtherance of the sport of Ski-Biking. The ASA was founded in 2001 by Rod Ratzlaff. The ASA's national office is located in Wichita Falls, Texas. The ASA accepts memberships from all over the United States.

ASA Data Management
The ASA cares about the privacy of your personal information. Any suspected abuse of the ASA's privacy policy should be reported to the ASA President immediately.

Providing Information to the ASA
Any persons providing information to the ASA do so voluntarily. Although information may be required to participate in some ASA activities, promotions or sales, participants provide that information voluntarily. ASA collects information in conjunction with the following services:

Registering as a member of the ASA

Registering for the ASA's newsletters or other communications

Registering for any form of sweepstakes or contest

Participating in the ASA's donor programs

Participating in message boards, chat rooms or other online services where registration is required

Communicating by any other means to the ASA 

Collection of personal information for these services may include the collection of your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth, demographic information, age range, interests and/or credit card number. The ASA needs to collect this information for management of its memberships, fulfilling prizes, providing requested communications, tracking/verifying compliance with the ASA's policies and federal, state and local laws, and for feedback solicitation purposes.

The ASA's Members
In order to conduct its duties, the ASA may share personal information including name, address, birth date and athletic background with ASA-registered event organizers and officials. This information is shared solely for the purpose of conducting ASA events. Name and address information only may be shared with third parties providing a product or service deemed by the ASA to be of direct interest to ASA members' pursuit of their athletic interests. Email addresses are never provided to third parties, although the ASA itself, on behalf of its partners, or its regional or divisional offices, may distribute information to email addresses of members. Credit card or any other financial information is not stored in any ASA database. ASA members have the right to opt-out of any communications from the ASA. 

Registering for Newsletters and other Communications
In order to provide requested communications, including printed and online newsletters, bulletins and other communications, the ASA may collect name, address and email address for the purpose of fulfilling communications. Every subsequent ASA email communications carries a simple opt-out or unsubscribe message at the bottom of the email. Name and address information only may be shared with third parties providing a product or service deemed by the ASA to be of direct interest to the ASA members' pursuit of their athletic interests. Email addresses are never provided to third parties, although the ASA itself, on behalf of its partners may distribute information to email addresses of members. Persons wishing to opt-out of any future communications may contact the ASA with those wishes.

Registering for Sweepstakes or Contests
In order to manage sweepstakes or contests, the ASA and its agents may collect name, address and email address. The ASA, in management of the sweepstakes or contest, may share that information only with sweepstakes or contest partners, and only with companies providing a product or service consistent with the interests of the sweepstakes or contest participants and adhering to a strict privacy policy that allows for unsubscribing or opting-out of any future communications. Persons wishing to opt-out of any future communications may contact the ASA to be removed from these communications. 

ASA Donor Programs
The ASA appreciates the generosity of donors who contribute to support the ASA's operations. In order to provide appropriate donor fulfillment, the ASA may collect name, address, email address and contribution information for the purpose of fulfilling donor recognition programs. Name and address information only may be shared with third parties providing a product or service deemed by the ASA to be of direct interest to donors. Email addresses are never provided to third parties, although the ASA itself, or on behalf of its partners, may distribute information to email addresses of donors. Every subsequent ASA email communications carries a simple opt-out or unsubscribe message at the bottom of the email. Persons wishing to opt-out of any future communications may contact the ASA.

Tracking
The ASA uses Google Analytics to monitor the statistics of its website. All information and tracking is done from that site and not directly by the ASA. 

Links to Other Sites
Some of the ASA's pages contain links to other sites whose information practices may be different. For example, if you "click" on a linked banner advertisement, the "click" may take you off the ASA site. This includes links from advertisers, sponsors and partners that may use the ASA logo as part of a co-branding or other agreement. These other sites may send their own cookies to guests, collect data, or solicit personal information. The ASA makes every effort to link only to sites that meet similar standards for maintaining each individual's right to privacy. Guests should consult the linked sites' privacy notices, as the ASA has no control over information that is submitted to, or collected by these third parties. 

Security
The ASA exercises great care in providing secure transmission of your information from your computer to the ASA's servers. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as completely safe data transmission over the Internet. As a result, while the ASA strives to protect your personal information, it cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to or from the ASA's website, and you do so at your own risk. Once the ASA receives your transmission, all efforts to ensure its security on its systems are made. The only credit card information exchanged is between PayPal and the member. This transmitted information cannot be warranted because it is out of the control of the ASA.

Your Acceptance of These Terms
By using the ASA's web site, or registering to be a member, you give consent to the ASA's Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use the ASA's site, or register to participate in any of its events. The ASA reserves the right to delete information or to change its privacy policy at any time. Your continued use of this site following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes.
